Audi Driver Arrested in Delhi After Striking Five Sidewalk Sleepers, Including 8-Year-Old

A devastating incident unfolded in Delhi’s Vasant Vihar neighborhood early this morning, leaving five individuals injured, one of whom is an eight-year-old child. An Audi driver lost control and struck the five individuals who were sleeping on the footpath near a petrol pump.

Victims Rushed to Hospital After Vasant Vihar Accident

The victims, identified as Ladhi, Bimla, Sabami, Narayani, and Ramchander, were immediately rushed to a local hospital. The extent of their injuries varies, and medical personnel are working diligently to provide the necessary care.

Driver Apprehended by Delhi Police

Police swiftly responded to the scene and apprehended the driver, identified as Utsav Shekhar, a resident of Dwarka. Legal proceedings have been initiated against Shekhar. The incident has raised concerns about road safety and the vulnerability of those forced to sleep on sidewalks.
