Ayurveda Admissions 2025: Your Path to Healing Just Got Easier
Great news for students dreaming of a career in Ayurveda! The National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) has announced a significant change to the admission process for Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) courses starting in 2025. The pressure of achieving high Class 12 marks has been lifted, making the path to becoming an Ayurveda doctor more accessible.
Focus Shifts from Marks to NEET for Ayurveda Admissions
Previously, aspiring Ayurveda doctors needed to secure specific marks in their Class 12 board exams. Now, simply passing Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) subjects is enough to qualify. Even better, Biotechnology has been added as an eligible qualifying subject, broadening opportunities for students with diverse interests.
NEET Remains the Gateway to Ayurveda Studies
While the Class 12 marks criteria has been removed, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) remains a mandatory requirement for BAMS admissions. This ensures a standardized evaluation of aspiring Ayurveda practitioners. This change is expected to benefit thousands of students who can now focus on preparing for NEET without the added pressure of high board exam scores.
