A concerning moment unfolded during the third Test between India and England at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground. Indian vice-captain and wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant sustained a finger injury after a delivery from teammate Jasprit Bumrah struck his left hand.

The incident occurred while Pant was keeping wickets. The impact of Bumrah’s delivery caused visible discomfort to Pant, prompting immediate medical attention on the field. Dhruv Jurel subsequently replaced him behind the stumps.
Gambhir Shows Concern, Leaves Balcony
While Pant received initial treatment, the injury appeared serious enough to warrant further medical assessment. Head coach Gautam Gambhir, clearly worried about his player’s well-being, left his position in the Lord’s balcony to check on Pant and ascertain the severity of the injury.
