Chennai-Arakkonam Train Route Disrupted After Oil Tanker Catches Fire Near Thiruvallur

A dramatic incident unfolded early Sunday morning near Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu, as a freight train carrying crude oil tankers caught fire, halting train services on the Chennai-Arakkonam route. The blaze erupted around 5 am, sending plumes of smoke into the sky and causing significant disruption to commuters.

Oil Tanker Blaze Causes Travel Chaos

The freight train, en route from Ennore to Mumbai, was carrying 45 oil tankers when one of them suddenly ignited near Thiruvallur. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported. The fire quickly spread, prompting authorities to halt rail traffic on the affected section.

Railway officials immediately responded to the incident and worked tirelessly to contain the blaze.
